Author Biography

CATHRYN and JOHN SILL are the author and illustrator team of the popular, award winning ABOUTà nature series for children, and the new ABOUT HABITATS series. In addition to the Spring 2007 release, ABOUT HABITATS: DESERTS, they have written ABOUT MARSUPIALS, ABOUT MOLLUSKS, ABOUT BIRDS, ABOUT INSECTS, ABOUT MAMMALS, ABOUT REPTILES, ABOUT AMPHIBIANS, ABOUT FISH, ABOUT ARACHNIDS, and ABOUT CRUSTACEANS. Cathryn is a graduate of Western Carolina State University and a retired elementary school teacher in Franklin, North Carolina. John is a prize-winning and widely published wildlife artist. A native of North Carolina, he holds a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from North Carolina State University.
