Summary

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Drawing Basics Illustratedis an all-new book that introduces readers to every aspect of drawing in a simple and highly visual step-by-step format. With more than 400 illustrations, it teaches beginning artists how to use all the tools of the trade-from pencils and charcoal to pen and ink-and then guides them stroke by stroke through various drawing formats, including still life, landscape, people, animals, and more. Readers learn how to render objects in front of them as well as how to draw from their own imaginations and bring those objects to life through effective use of shading, light, perspective, dimension and many others techniques.
