Author Biography
Steven Travers is an ex-professional baseball player who has written more than a dozen books, including Dodgers Essential: Everything You Need to Know to Be a Real Fan!, The Last Miracle: Tom Seaver and the 1969 Amazin’ Mets, and The Good, the Bad & the Ugly Los Angeles Lakers. Steve has worked as a columnist for StreetZebra magazine in Los Angeles and for the San Francisco Examiner. A fifth-generation Californian, Travers helped lead his high school baseball team to the national championship; was an all-conference pitcher at the University of Southern California; and has coached at USC, Cal-Berkeley, and in Europe. He also attended law school, served in the Army, and is a frequent guest lecturer at USC. Steve has a daughter, Elizabeth, and still resides in the Golden State.
