Author Biography

William Strunk J r. (1869-û1946) was professor of English at Cornell University. He wrote The Elements of Style in 1918 for the use of his students, who dubbed it -ôthe little book.-ö
E.B. White (1899-û1985) was a leading American essayist, author, humorist, poet, and literary stylist whose wide range of writing includes Charlotte-'s Web.
Maira Kalman has illustrated twelve children-'s books, numerous covers for The New Yorker, fabrics for fashion designers Isaac Mizrahi and Kate Spade, and many other projects.
