Summary

A first edition, Insiders' Guide to Omaha & Lincoln is the essential source for in-depth travel and relocation information to Lincoln and the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro areas. Written by a local (and true insider), this guide offers a personal and practical perspective of the Omaha, NE, Lincoln, NE, Council Bluffs, IA, and its surrounding environs.

Author Biography

Sarah Baker-Hansen spends most of her time in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, hunting for vintage jewelry, clothes and shoes; trying the latest and greatest new restaurants; and taking in the talent of the local art scene. She’s spent the past decade as a freelance columnist and art critic at the city’s largest independent newsweekly, the Omaha Reader, and has written for a number of regional art publications. Baker-Hansen lives a dual-city life: her home is in Omaha’s historic Old Market district, but she spends weekdays working in Nebraska’s capital city, Lincoln, where she’s the Public Relations and Marketing Director at the Sheldon Museum of Art. Previously, she worked as the Media Relations Coordinator for the Nebraska Division of Travel and Tourism in Lincoln; that’s where she got the chance to thoroughly explore her home state and learn once and for all what’s so great about Nebraska.
