Summary
Manol is an incredible journey of a young man in the late sixties who struggles with the inevitable fact that he has to go to Vietnam. His wild ride after graduation from high school and his tour in the Army is a part of history that the government would like to forget. Vietnam was not all guns and jungles, the other side of the war was just as dangerous. Drugs and race relations in the rear echelons made survival difficult. A soldier had to find a way to cope with the 365 day tour; and Manoi a puppy; was one soldier's answer. A trusting companion and friend he couldn't leave behind.
