Summary

A handsomely boxed set of 50 unique postcards with witty and whimsical illustrations of the most beloved museums of North America. From New Yorker cartoonist and bestselling author Bob Eckstein.

Curated by the New York Times bestselling author Bob Eckstein, this postcard set features the most beloved museums of North America. Fifty gorgeously rendered art postcards offer a delightful twist on art history by showing these institutions in a way not seen before, illustrated in a lush and idealized style.

The museums featured include the biggest and boldest names (MoMA, The Whitney) and the more offbeat (the Museum of Bad Art, the Museum of Jurassic Technology). They span the US, Canada, and Mexico and include institutions specializing in art, natural history, academia, science, and more.

MUSEUM LOVERS GIFT: Following on Bob Eckstein’s Footnotes from the Most Fascinating Museums—hailed as "a joyous book featuring the greatest museums in the world” (Steve Martin) and “a beautifully written and painted love letter to the museums of North America” (Metropolitan Museum of Art director and CEO Max Hollein)—this postcard set is a treasure trove of miniature art and inspiration.

NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN ILLUSTRATIONS: This set of 50 original pieces of artwork includes many fan favorites from Eckstein’s book as well as several new illustrations unique to this collection.

GORGEOUS KEEPSAKE PACKAGE: A perfect gift for artists, art lovers, students, travelers, and adventurers of all ages, this beautifully crafted collection of postcards is an inspiring celebration of museums, why we go to them, and why we love them so much.
