Author Biography


Sonia E. Sultan, Professor of Biology, Department of Biology, Wesleyan University

Sonia E. Sultan is Professor of Biology at Wesleyan University, where her research group studies plant ecological development. She has also contributed to the conceptual and theoretical literatures on individual plasticity and its relation to ecological breadth, invasiveness, and evolutionary diversification. Sultan studied History and Philosophy of Science at Princeton University, followed by graduate work at Harvard University in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. She was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of California (Davis) Center for Population Biology, and, more recently, a Fellow of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.
