Author Biography
Tom and Ray Magliozzi are the hosts of Car Talk, the popular NPR show heard by millions of people who choose to waste a perfectly good hour, week after week. Graduates of MIT, the brothers opened a do-it-yourself auto repair shop and found themselves doing all the actual repairs. In 1977, they began dispensing car repair information on local radio and since 1987, NPR has broadcast the show nationally. In addition, Ray still runs the repair shop and Tom claims to be a management consultant (though he manages to turn down most opportunities to work "on mostly moral or ethical grounds"). Their column, "Click and Clack Talk Cars," appears in more than three hundred newspapers
