Summary

Annotation: Herbert E. Brown, a blind author/musician, is pleased to announce the re-publication of his controversial book "Pimps in the Pulpit". "Pimps in the Pulpit", first released in 1999 is a brutal analysis of the black church in which Brown talks primarily about three preacher types: the pimp, the punk, and the pusher and likens the unholy behavior of these clergy types to their same reprehensible counterparts in the streets. Brown further suggests that many of these so called, anointed men and women of God, are nothing but unredeemed hustlers and flem-flam artists straight from the streets, perpetrating as spiritual Shepard's but using the church only to fleece the flock. In his revised and updated edition of "Pimps in the Pulpit", to be released November 1st, H. E. Brown broadens and deepens the scope by discussing the issues of black education, black finance, the critical lack of black church cooperation, as well as some major flaws in black church doctrine which keep congregants powerless and politically and economically disenfranchised. "Pimps in the Pulpit" went out of print by 2004 but demand for it continued to pour in. As a result, he felt the need to satisfy this growing demand for his book Biography: by revising and updating it.
