Summary

Everyone loves a good murder mystery, and in this case, the murders and the outcomes are both quite real. Justice, it seems, like everything else, has its price. There is a long history of prominent Texans who have bought their way out of the heinous crimes of which they have been accused. Author Mona Sizer digs up old skeletons, family secrets, and long-forgotten reports of wrongdoing by wealthy residents of the state and reveals once again that money does indeed talk. Among the most notorious crimes examined are the King Ranch murders, the Walker Railey story, the John Hill case, and the Cullen Davis mansion murders. Sizer has researched her material well and has put together shocking and disturbing tales of justice gone terribly awry. Mona Sizer is the prolific author of numerous historical novels as well as "The King Ranch Story" and "Texas Heroes: A Dynasty of Courage". Mona lives in Harlingen, Texas, with her husband, Jim.
